Holiday weeks for families in ministry

"Our children still talk about that week at Sheldon even though they've got children of their own now!" 

It's hard to explain what the 'magic' of Sheldon is for children. All we know is how often we hear comments like the above. Perhaps it's something to do with the freedom to explore and make new friends? It not being an issue that you're a 'clergy kid' because so is everyone else.

Perhaps it's having parents/caregivers who are relaxed and enjoying themselves too - not having to worry about food shopping, cooking and washing up. Perhaps it's the lovely volunteers who have a heart for giving the whole family a good break - a place where the young ones of all ages are enjoyed and respected. 

Perhaps especially for families where holidays are a bit more complicated - single parenting, multi-generation households, a child with special needs or a difficult diet, a parent with a temporary or long term disability - these are holidays we hope you will enjoy and remember. 

For Covid-times the big marquee on the lawn makes it easier to enjoy plenty of fresh air to keep things safer at meal times. Lots to explore in the local area with Dartmoor, Exeter, the sea and plenty of family-friendly tourist attractions all within 10 miles - great days out with your special Sheldon picnics!
