Stephen's Lodge

Stephen’s Lodge is our most accessible accommodation.

Situated at the end of the Linhay Lodges, Stephen's Lodge is accessed via a level concrete access path from a gravelled driveway and parking area.

There is also a rubber matting path which can be laid out (and left out for the duration of your stay) to cross the gravel driveway to the Long Barn and the main step-free path.

Inside Stephen’s Lodge, the wet room has grab rails and a shower seat. All doors are extra wide (3 feet wide), switches are low and sockets high to reduce need for stretching and bending.

In the living room there are two reclining armchairs; one electric with stand assistance, one manual that just reclines.

The bedroom has a ceiling hoist to enable transfer from bed to (for example) wheelchair or shower chair. We advise, for your own comfort, that any guest intending to use the hoist brings their own sling.

We also have a wheeled shower chair/commode available for use.

We do not own or provide any form of adjustable bed, but we can put you in contact with a reliable local hire company who have delivered for guests here multiple times.
