Let it Be
Led by Ian & Gail Adams
This retreat is an invitation to imagine how we might live boldly in new seasons of life. We will draw on the stories of Mary and Joseph in the gospels, exploring how their lives of 'Let it Be' were courageous choices to trust in the goodness of God and in their own quiet but magnificent capabilities.
The retreat will offer a spacious mix of teaching, stillness and contemplative prayer, with suggestions for photography and creative attention to the beautiful land and sky-scapes at Sheldon.
Silence will be held from after the evening meal on Monday until after Morning Prayer on Friday. Gail and Ian will lead one session on Monday evening, then two sessions (mid-morning and late afternoon) on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Each session will comprise teaching, stillness and led contemplative prayer. Ian will also be sharing poems and photographs.
Guests are invited to join the community for Morning Prayer each day, and to a simple evening prayer on Tuesday and Wednesday led by Gail and Ian. There will be a eucharist on Thursday evening.
There will also be the opportunity for some one-to-one conversations with Gail or Ian.
