A mid-autumn breathing space as the leaves start to turn. What better than time to read, rest, retreat, relax or recuperate at Sheldon - or perhaps a bit of all 5? Sociable mealtimes and all the regular resources of Sheldon like chapels (including daily liturgy), labyrinth, art shed and library. Sheldon also has lots of outdoor space to wander and enjoy and indoors we do warm and cosy with close attention to air quality.
This week we will have an Artist in Residence. Charmaine Host will be in the Art Shed each morning making work in response to the Sheldon external environment and inner experience during the course of the week. She will be available informally to help and encourage anyone who would like ideas on how to "get started", whether you've never picked up a paintbrush before or would like to explore more widely. Spring at Sheldon will provide plenty of inspiration for playing with paint and exploring image making with whatever is to hand. Completely optional to dip into if you feel like it.
On one day (tbc according to weather) Clare Callanan will facilitate a day with the Sheldon labyrinth. An opportunity to learn more of the use and history of the labyrinth as a tool for prayer, to walk as a group and to reflect on the experience. Open to everyone on site to opt in for some or all of it as you wish.
1:1 sessions available for people in ministry, plus some massage sessions.
