Led Retreats at Sheldon
Good space for led retreats
We are pleased to host a selection of led retreats over the coming months. We curate a good variety of leaders and subjects so we hope you enjoy choosing one to suit you. Please make sure you read the details provided for the retreat so you know what to expect. We are always happy to answer questions by phone or email if you need more information.
Once everyone has settled in after the orientation session and first meal together most retreats go into full silence while others have silence for a portion of each day. Many retreat leaders offer the option of a 1:1 pastoral conversation in addition to the structured input. There is generally a good deal of space within the daily programme where you can rest or enjoy other Sheldon facilities such as the labyrinth, library or art shed; find still space in the chapels or explore the grounds.
All guests are provided with single en-suite rooms with a hospitality tray. Couples are provided with a shared room unless otherwise requested. You also have access to several communal rooms and meals are shared in the dining rooms. Please see our Covid page for details of protections currently in place.
When making your travel arrangements, please be sure to arrive before our reception closes at 5pm. There are no retreat sessions on the day of departure. Morning prayer is normally at 8am and breakfast at 8.30am.
